The Difference
Are you tired of sitting in a salon chair for hours only to have your fingers painfully reaction to nail acrylics? What about the thinness of your nails after drilling off acrylic build up you've been wearing for 3 weeks? Instead of going to a cramped salon and getting over charged on service book with Cocoa Savage Nails. Here, you are the focus for ultimate results! Our nails are applied using a Gel X method. Gel-X nails are generally considered safer for your natural nails than acrylics because their application and removal processes are gentler and less damaging. Acrylics require aggressive filing and can involve harsher chemicals, which can weaken the nail bed over time, while Gel-X is applied with a soft gel glue that soaks off more easily with acetone, while not tearing your natural nail plate. Gel-X nails can last for 2 to 4 weeks with proper application and aftercare.
About Gel- X Nails
First your natural nails are gently cleaned, cuticles are tidied, and the nail surface is lightly buffed to ensure a smooth base. A nail dehydrator solution removes excess oils and moisture from the nail plate to promote better adhesion. Next, a primer is applied, acting like a double-sided tape to chemically bond the gel product to your natural nail. A clear nail extension is carefully measured to fit your natural nail bed. The underside of the extension is coated with a specialized gel adhesive, then applied and cured under an LED lamp for 60 seconds to secure it in place. The extension is gently filed and buffed to perfect the shape and blend the cuticle edge, creating a seamless, natural transition. A touch of acetone is used to “seal” the cuticle area for a clean, finished look. Once your extensions are flawlessly applied and sealed, the fun begins! Choose from a variety of colors, nail art, and finishes to bring your custom design to life.
